I am a PhD student at the Institute of Mathematics of Bordeaux (IMB), in the team Image, Optimization, and Probabilities (IOP), under the supervision of Jean-Francois Aujol, Charles Dossal and Aude Rondepierre, and falls within the PEPR PDE-AI project funded by the ANR.
My PhD research focuses on mathematical optimization. More specifically, I study the theoretical aspects of acceleration with momentum-based algorithms for minimizing nonconvex functions and for stochastic optimization settings. More broadly, I am interested in the connections between machine learning and optimization.
